Personality:
Knuckles personality is determined, loyal, trusting and when it needs to be, fierce. He fears very few things in life and none of them are things he can see and touch. Despite his strength he's compassionate, kind and when he needs to be he can be very gentle. He has a great love for the world and all living things and even though he has the power to destroy a lot of what comes his way, he prefers to fix his problems through talk as opposed to resorting to sheer brute force. However, having said that, he does love a good fight with someone he considers an equal, and he's more than willing to accept a challenge should one be given.

Relations with Other Characters:
Goombella: Goombella is Knuckles girlfriend. They became friends through a shared interest in archaeology, restarted Treasure hunting club together, and then after seeing her in some super tight Ninja clothing, he felt compelled to ask her on a date. Which went well! Until a truck nearly hit them. Then they crashed into a ravine and got freaky in the woods. Aww yeah.
Sonic and Wave: Knuckles' team mates in Neo Team Sonic. Setting aside a lot of thier rivalry since coming to school, Sonic and Knuckles became great friends over the course of the early year. Wave soon joined them and proved that she could be trusted, filling a spot in the team left blank by Tails departure. Now? They kick ass and take names as a Red, Purple and Blue powerhouse superhero team.
Ganondorf, Rawk Hawk and Cane: After losing a bet to Ganondorf, Knuckles was coerced into joining a group called The Speedo Squad. Despite being initially unwilling, Knuckles gave thier first performance all he had... and found out that he quite liked being a member of the group! Since then he and the other three have become great friends and even when not dancing around in thier underwear, Knuckles likes hanging out with the guys.
Lucas: They met over a shared disgust toward Professor Leon Powalski's zoology class. Neither one liking the idea of collecting animals and sometimes even sentient creatures for dissections that seemed to make no sense. Lucas started a protest movement that Knuckles eagerly joined and helped with. Knuckles can see a lot of bravery and nobility in Lucas that Lucas doesn't seem to see in himself.
Fang the Weasel: Where most only know him as Fang, Knuckles knows that Nack has always been a petty thief and general thug. When they met up again so long after thier initial partnership under Dr. Robotnik, Fang pleaded his case and convinced Knuckles he'd switched sides. Knuckles was quick to accept this and try to help Fang along the straight and narrow. When that blew up in ghis face, he pretty much settled into a routine of making fun of Fang in the journal network and general dickery towards the weasel... though he'd never admit it, he does miss the friendship they had. Even if it was fake from the start.
Dr. Robotnik: Robotnik is someone Knuckles has a lot of history with. A checkered history to say the least. They are supposed to be the bitterest of enemies but have teamed up so many times that the lines are blurred. As Knuckles' teacher, Dr. Robotnik actually has managed to ganerner some of the Echidnas' respect. And seeing him get gushy over Madame Flurrie seems to have given Knuckles hope that there might be a good ending for the Doctor yet.
Ribbon: Ribbon is like the little sister Knuckles never had. He met the little fairy girl not long after her arrival and she seemed so shy and scared he wanted to do his best to help her out. When she asked him to teach her some fighting skills, he accepted, and now they sometimes train together. Knuckles believes she has some fighting talent that could become great if she applied enough focus and discipline to it - and he'll do his best to help her out with that.
Samurai Goroh: Drivers' Ed. was the first class Knuckles attended that really gave him a sense of adventure. The Teachers' crazy antics and loud voice appealed to the Echidna as did the frequent explosions and crashes that seemed to manifest themselves in his class. Later, coming to know Professor Goroh through the secret sword dojo, Knuckles realised that behind all that brash loudness there was a disciplined, amazing warrior who merely used his regular brashness as a clever facade. Knuckles looks up to Goroh a great deal.
