Extracurricular activities: GAMING GAMING ANDDD more gaming. He runs gaming club here, too, and is part of the football team.

Personality:
For Lark, expertise is something to be earned, and boy, does he feel he's earned it. He's quite proud and full of himself in his piloting and gaming skills, thinking he's just an absolute whiz at any of this type of stuff... despite the fact that he, in all honesty, isn't the most incredible flame from the jetpack, so to speak. His piloting skills could be considered decent enough, yet not as incredible as he claims they are, and his gaming skills tend to be quite crappy. But this doesn't stop Lark! To him, he's the number one person to come to for help on this type of thing, yet he seems to fail in his 'expertise' all the time. One can't count how many times he's crashed in his hang glider or gotten a 'GAME OVER' in Tetris.

He also tends to pick rivals out when they try to contest his skills... even if they don't intentionally mean it as a challenge sometimes! If someone rubs him off the wrong way on this kind of thing, in any way at all, the boy tends to get pretty sour towards them. Lark adores his own 'skills' and certainly loves to over-embellish them... and keep them that way, no matter how much he fails... as well as no matter how much that fact is rubbed in. This guy is one persistent kid, and never gives up on anything... including reinforcing his 'wonderful talents.'

Lark can come off to be quite the snarky, snippy-snappy 'brat' to others, as well, and it's reinforced with how loud and brash he can be at times. He can show himself to be friend-like and such, yes, but not without being the Lark he's known to be: the one his pals usually call the 'pompous ginger-topped bitch'. However, he doesn't mean anything bad all of the time, and really can be fine with people in certain ways as long as they don't challenge or put down his skills, or just plain annoy him. (Although he can have his exceptions like Goose, who DOES insult his skills and tick him off a lot, yet they're totally still BFFs for life.)

In short, Lark is the type of kid who lies and stretches the truth on his 'talents' to make himself look better, and can pick rivals out slightly easily if anyone gets to him on them or just plain bugs him. However, it doesn't mean he can't be nice in his own little silly, loud, and snarky fashion, or make pals if they can handle his behavior and rough ways of having fun.

Backstory:
Nester, born Lark Philips, is your typical 'bratty' little oldschool gamer kid. Before he even considered leaving Micro-Seattle? in Little States to become a pilot, he spent about 12 years of his life just sitting around, playing games and living the normal life of a child in a usually robot-invaded city. Just how average would that be, huh? In all honesty? Not very in some aspects.

The city was very frequently attacked by robots built by a mysterious, unknown named scientist (actually the same scientist who created his soon-to-be arch nemesis, Meca Hawk), and thus caused the family to have to seek shelter many, many times in their lives. This snarky little redhead, quite frankly, complained and whined about 'how stupid and random all these robot things are' and how they took away 'precious time for me to get a better high score in Tetris'. Oh, could he COUNT how many times he was close to beating that last score until, OH, WHAT HAPPENED?! ROBOTS. MANY ROBOTS. It ticked him off immensely, and honestly, he didn't want to handle that crap anymore. NO MORE OF THIS.

Upon hitting 12, his parents had flown over and moved to Final Destination City, also fed up with all of the ridiculous robot attacks. Lark then attended Sumabura Gakuen for the very first time as a freshman. He was quite the social one, challenging others to little game matches and having quite the amount of fun (with an equal amount of failure). He enjoyed his stay at the school... for the most part. After a while of trying not to fail classes, playing games, and having a nice time overall... he finally passed his first year there. By then, however, he decided he needed life with more of an 'oomph' to it.

After plenty of struggle to convince his parents that he could be on his own and take responsibility for himself, he decided to join Holiday Island's Flight Club at 13 to 1. kick robot BEHIIIIND, 2. do something more exciting than going to school and then sitting around all day playing games (and getting frustrated a lot, surely, despite how much he ADORED his games so hard), and 3. show how much of a VALUABLE EXPERT he could turn out to be in piloting to EVERY SINGLE PILOT in the flight club and its divisions. He took this seriously, as in, "I'll be such a radical pilot that no one can match my skill! >:D"-seriously. And thus, he grew to adore the job already... well, or he would, just as long as he'd be able to pick it up very well and very fast! And if he didn't, screw it, there was ALWAYS OVER-EMBELLISHING.

Lark, admittedly, came to LOVE his job very quickly, despite his life-threatening struggles with robots beginning to grow VERY annoying. Hell, he even somewhat liked the pilots he resided with. One specific pilot that went by the name of "(Real name withheld, piloting alias: Goose)" had caught his eye as an interesting person to actually very, very, very x A MILLION slightly match up to his skills. But only very slightly. Because no one can match Lark the Piloting Master, right?

Surprisingly, although at first he and Goose had fought very often and came to completely despise each other at times, the two of them grew to finally become acquaintances. Then they got assigned a room that they had to share, and became friends. They hung out more, had some laughs over all kinds of stuff, and played Pong with each other very often, and became VERY close best friends for life. There was no way these two would ever ever part with each other and stuck by each other FOREVER for life because they were SUCH GOOD BUDDIES, RIGHT?

WRONG.

Although Lark enjoyed his job even past having to deal with those goddamn robots and rocks and icebergs and aaaaaaah, Goose... did not, and unfortunately, parted ways with him and the whole flight club. This didn't leave the boy devastated, because hell, he was LARKSTER! Larkster NEVER EVER GOT DEVASTATED OVER ANYTHING. However, deep inside, although he didn't want to admit it to anyone BUT Goose over the phone later on... he missed him. Quite a bit. Yet he felt that he shouldn't really follow suit and decided to keep on going with his job, secretly wondering what exactly Goose was up to over at Final Destination City...

However, a phone call with Goose fully admitting how much he missed him and wanted him here, as well as looking back on how insane all the Sumabura Gakuen classes have been and were back in the day, convinced Lark otherwise. He decided that, well, going back to that old city and even the school wouldn't be so bad, wouldn't it? Hell, it'd be pretty neat to meet some other students and teachers he might've recognized from two years ago. And being with Goose again would be just like the GOOD OLD DAYS, wouldn't it?

With that, Goose heard of the news and became ecstatic, before deciding to drop over to Holiday and pick him up...
